[LISTEN] What's the latest on bird flu in the WC?

Thousands of birds have been killed following the bird flu outbreak in the Western Cape.

CAPE TOWN - Alan Winde, MEC of Economic Opportunities in Western Cape, says he wouldn't describe the recent bird flu outbreak as a crisis but says there are risks.

A duck farm in the Joostenbergvlakte is one facility that has been affected, after thousands of animals died or had to be culled. Several workers also lost their jobs.

Vet Dr Deon De Beer and Winde chat about the latest developments.
