JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court is hearing the Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) bid to have President Jacob Zuma face impeachment proceedings in the National Assembly.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has filed an application to join as an intervening party while the United Democratic Movement (UDM) and Congress of the People (Cope) are already parties in the matter.

Last month, Zuma survived an eighth attempt to have him removed from office through a vote of no confidence.
