Speeding Happy Jele to appear in court

He faces charges of reckless driving and exceeding the speed limit.

JOHANNESBURG – Orlando Pirates player Happy Jele is expected to appear in court after being arrested for speeding on Monday morning.

The sportsman was clocked travelling over 200 kilometres an hour in a 120 kilometre zone.

He faces charges of reckless driving and exceeding the speed limit.

Gauteng Community Safety spokesperson Busaphi Nxumalo said: “The Pirates player was driving a 135i BMW travelling on the M1 near Sandton at an average speed of 223km per hour. He will appear in the Randburg Magistrate Court shortly.”
