Pair arrested for possession of marijuana worth over R218k in Britstown

CAPE TOWN - Two men have been arrested for the possession of dagga worth an estimated street value of more than R218,000 in Britstown in the Northern Cape.
Police spotted the suspects during a routine patrol on Monday.
The driver sped off when he was flagged by police and a chase ensued.
The two men were later arrested when officers found the 43 kilograms of marijuana.
The police's Sergio Kock said: “They managed to catch up with them and the two suspects tried to discard the dagga from the vehicle but the police found the four bags - three big bags and one small plastic bag.”
