'We will not rest until we find the other miners'

Rescue efforts are continuing for two more miners trapped by a rockfall at Harmony Gold's Kusasalethu operations near Carletonville on Friday.

JOHANNESBURG - Rescue efforts are continuing for two miners trapped by a rockfall at Harmony Gold's Kusasalethu operations near Carletonville on Friday, amid confirmation that a third body has been brought to the surface.

The bodies of two workers were found over the weekend.

The five became trapped underground following a tremor.

Harmony Gold spokesperson Lauren Fourie says: “Our condolences go out to their friends and family. We will not rest until we find the other ... miners.”
