JOHANNESBURG - A sixth awaiting trial prisoner has now been rearrested after this week's brazen escape from a police truck en route to the Johannesburg Correctional Centre.
The truck was on its way back to the jail from the Johannesburg magistrates court when the group of 20 prisoners escaped during an ambush on Pat Mbatha Road near the Southgate train station.
None of the officers who were transporting the group were injured.
