Major General King Ngcobo appointed acting head of crime intelligence
Ngcobo's appointment follows the termination of Major General Pat Mokushane’s acting role at the division.
JOHANNESBURG - The South African Police Service (SAPS) has announced that Major General King Ngcobo has been appointed as the new acting head of crime intelligence with immediate effect.
Ngcobo's sudden appointment comes after acting national police commissioner Lesetja Mothiba confirmed that he would personally take control of managing the division.
It emerged earlier this week that Mothiba had terminated Major General Pat Mokushane’s acting role at the division.
It’s understood Mokushane didn't have proper security clearance has a criminal record and allegedly dipped into the unit’s slush fund.
Mothiba has congratulated Ngcobo on his new appointment.
