JOHANNESBURG – Final arguments in the coffin assault case will begin in the High Court sitting in Middelburg on Monday morning.

Theo Jackson and Willem Oosthuizen face charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping.

They were filmed forcing Victor Mlotshwa into a coffin and threatening to set it alight.

The pair maintain that they were never going to kill Mlotshwa and were merely threatening him.

They also claim Mlotshwa that threatened their families.

The prosecution is, however, arguing that the men’s actions were motivated by racism.
