WC motorists served with fines totaling R152,000

CAPE TOWN - Fines totaling close to R152,000 have been dished out to traffic offenders in the Western Cape.
Law enforcement agencies cracked down on at least 94 motorists who found themselves on the wrong side of the law this weekend.
The highest speed recorded so far was 231 km per hour in a 120 km zone in Brackenfell.
There's also been one fatal accident near Stellenbosch on Friday where one person died.
Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa said, “Yesterday morning a passenger lost his life in a motor vehicle accident.”
