Women's Legal Centre: Irrational for Zuma not to act against Manana
The centre has written to President Jacob Zuma, calling for deputy Higher Education Minister Mduduzi Manana's dismissal.
CAPE TOWN - The Women's Legal Centre says it's irrational for President Jacob Zuma not to act against deputy Higher Education Minister Mduduzi Manana.
The centre has written to Zuma, calling for Manana's dismissal.
Manana has admitted to assaulting woman at a Johannesburg nightclub earlier this month.
He appeared in the Randburg magistrates court last week but had not been arrested.
The centre's Bronwyn Pithey says: “We have requested the president to dismiss him by 25 [August]. If he fails, we will bring an application to a court. We believe his decision not to suspend him is irrational.”
