CT man (19) found with bags of dagga arrested
Metro Police officers have made 63 arrests over the past week.
CAPE TOWN - Metro Police officers have made 63 arrests over the past week. Twenty-three are related to drunk driving and 40 are in connection with the possession of drugs, dangerous weapons or stolen property.
Mayoral Committee member JP Smith says a community tip-off led officers to the home of a 19-year-old man, found in possession of several bags of dagga in Khayelitsha.
“This is the second significant dagga bust in Khayelitsha in the last two weeks. At the end of July officers received another a tip-off that led them to toilets in Town Two and a stash of dagga with an estimated street value of R30, 000. I applaud those members of the public who are taking a stand against crime and illicit dealing in their community.”
