JOHANNESBURG - Two security guards have escaped injury following an alleged cash-in-transit heist on the R80 Bremer Bridge in Suiderberg in Pretoria.

It’s understood the two men escaped shots that were fired at them on Monday evening.

ER24's Russel Meiring says a cash-in-transit vehicle was found in the middle of the road.

“They were found walking around the scene. We immediately assessed them and found that they had escaped injuries. It is believed they had been attacked by an unknown number of gunmen but fortunately, no one sustained any injuries.”
