[WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGE] Lions poisoned, mutilated at Vaalwater park

It’s alleged they cut through the fence of the Kwaagadans Lion Enclosure last night and poisoned two lions.

JOHANNESBURG - Limpopo police are searching for a group of men in connection with lion poaching in Vaalwater.

It’s alleged they cut through the fence of the Kwaagadans Lion Enclosure on Thursday night and poisoned two lions.

Authorities found the mouth and paws of the lions.

Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said: “The suspects are still on the run and we call on all members of the community to contact the nearest police station and our investigation continues.”

Police have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
