Dumi Masilela murder: 'We’ve gathered enough evidence to make arrests soon'

JOHANNESBURG - The Community Safety Department says it has enough information to ensure the arrest of the perpetrators in the Dumi Masilela murder in the next seven days.

MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane visited the _Rhythm City _actor's home on Monday to brief the family.

Masilela, known for his role as Sifiso Ngema in the local soapie, died after being shot in a hijacking in Tembisa last week.

The MEC says provincial police have been deployed to the murder the case.

She says more evidence has been gathered in the past few days to ensure an arrest is made soon.

“The car they were using on that particular day has been recovered and through the information we found in that vehicle we think we’ll be able to trace and arrest them.”

Nkosi-Malobane says has also visited Masilela's aunt's home who died last week after hearing the news of his death.
