Deputy minister in hot water for allegedly assaulting 2 women
Deputy Minister Higher Education Mduduzi Manana admitted to the incident which apparently took place at Cubana in Fourways on Sunday morning.
JOHANNESBURG – Deputy Minister of Higher Education Mduduzi Manana is in hot water after allegedly assaulting two women at a Johannesburg night club.
In a recorded telephone conversation between Manana and the victim’s brother posted on social media, the deputy minister admits to the incident which apparently took place at Cubana in Fourways on Sunday morning.
It’s understood that Mandisa Duma and a friend were involved in a heated debate with Manana and a group of his friends when he apparently grew agitated when they disagreed on an issue.
Duma claims Manana became angry when they disagreed with him on who should replace President Jacob Zuma in December.
In this voice clip, Manana can be heard confirming that he did slap the woman.
“Yes, I slapped her.”
Duma’s brother then went on in the conversation to ask him how he could hit a woman during Women’s Month.
Apparently, Manana followed the ladies outside to the parking lot to continue that.
