Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba says the newly appointed SAA CEO Vuyani Jarana’s appointment will resolve the fundamental issues at the airline.
JOHANNESBURG – Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba says Vuyani Jarana proved to be the most suitable candidate, as he’s highly regarded and is a turnaround specialist, hence he is capable of being a CEO at the South African Airways.
Gigaba says the state entity has had five CEOs since 2013 and Jarana’s appointment will resolve the fundamental issues at the airline and implement a new turnaround strategy.
Jarana is currently an executive at Vodacom and will take his place at SAA as soon as the service provider releases him.
