Advocate Vusi Pikoli, police ombudsman in the Western Cape, admits that a slow response by the police to complaints is caused by poor communication.

JOHANNESBURG - Advocate Vusi Pikoli, police ombudsman in the Western Cape, admits that a slow response by the police to complaints is caused by poor communication, unacceptable behavior and poor investigation.

Pikoli spoke about the state of policing in the province as well as a case against the Gupta's dating back to 2001.

He says that as the ombudsman, they can only make recommendations to the police department.
