Lions to host Super Rugby final

CAPE TOWN - An exhilarating Lions comeback saw them beat Hurricanes 44-29 at Ellis Park in an epic semi-final.

The Lions overturned a 19-point deficit after the Hurricanes came out of the blocks firing, they raced to a 22-3 lead.

However, the Lions got a try just before half time by prop Jacques van Rooyen which shifted momentum slightly.

The Lions were in fine form in the second half, five tries by Ross Cronje, Malcolm Marx, Harold Vorster, Elton Jantjies and Kwagga Smith secured their spot in the final for a second consecutive year.

They will now host the Crusaders in next week's final. It will be coach Johan Ackermann's final match in charge of the franchise before he leaves to Gloucester.
