JOHANNESBURG – Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi says he will soon announce the new principal of the Klipspruit West Secondary School in Soweto after learning was interrupted due to the appointment of a black man.

Parents at the predominantly coloured school say that the appointment process of appointing the headmaster was flawed.

The MEC has also dissolved the school governing body which had earlier requested an Afrikaans-speaking principal.

Lesufi says that an amicable solution will be found.

“The MEC will take note of all the concerns that were raised here and that in the next 72 hours the MEC will pronounce who is the principal of this school so that the principal can start on 1 August 2017.”
