JOHANNESBURG - Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane is expected to visit the Tau Lekoa Mine near Orkney on Monday where two miners died.

The workers were left trapped underground after a seismic incident at the weekend.

Two bodies were retrieved on Sunday and work is underway to get to two other miners.

The North West premier's spokesperson, Brian Motswambung, says they’re shocked.

“The premier has conveyed condolences to all the families. He has indicated he will visit the mine in the week to assess the situation.”
