Veteran cyclist Greg Anderson’s killer to spend 18 months in prison

JOHANNESBURG - A 28-year-old man will spend 18 months in prison for the death of veteran cyclist Greg Anderson.

The man pleaded guilty in a Mpumalanga court where he was sentenced to 36 months in prison, of which 18 months were suspended.

Anderson died on Sunday after he was struck off his bicycle while training ride near the Kruger National Park.

The police's Gerald Sedibe said: “He was sentenced to 36 months in imprisonment, 18 months of which was suspended for five years and his drivers’ license was also suspended.”
