CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating a shack fire in which a 12-year-old boy died in Delft.

He was reportedly home alone when the incident happened.

The police’s Frederick van Wyk says: “An inquest docket has been opened at Delft Police Station after a 12-year-old boy was fatally injured inside a burnt shack. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.”
