Sassa appoints new interim CEO
The move comes two days after the Social Development Department released a statement saying that Thokozani Magwaza has left the agency by mutual agreement.
JOHANNESBURG - The South African Social Security Agency has appointed its KwaZulu-Natal regional executive manager Pearl Bhengu as its new interim chief executive officer.
The move comes two days after the Social Development Department released a statement saying that Thokozani Magwaza had left the agency by mutual agreement.
Last week, it emerged that he was receiving death threats after he cancelled multi-million rand work streams implemented by Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini.
But concerns have been raised over the following months about the relationship between Magwaza and the minister.
