The former Sassa CEO has clashed with Minister Dlamini recently over the Sassa payment scandal, the minister's lucrative work streams and his attempts to get the Post Office to take over the social grant payments.
Magwaza has reportedly been receiving death threats and was said to be under pressure to accept an exit package.
