Three men die, another critically injured in Carletonville crash

JOHANNESBURG – Three people have been killed and the other one critically injured after the driver of Toyota corolla they were travelling in crashed into a tree next to Khutsong road in Carletonville in the early hours of Saturday morning.

ER24 paramedics say they found four male occupants believed to be in their late 20s ejected from the vehicle.

Three of them were declared dead on the scene and the injured was stabilised and transported to a nearby hospital.

Er24 spokesperson Annine Siddall says, “There was nothing paramedics could do for the three men and they were declared dead on the scene. ER24 paramedics stabilised and transported one man to Carletonville Hospital where he was airlifted by another emergency service to an appropriate medical care. Local authorities have cleaned up the scene and will conduct investigations.”
