ANC: Basic education needs overhaul
Naledi Pandor says the party has resolved that subcommittees at branch level should work on improving the quality of education.
JOHANNESBURG - Chairperson of the subcommittee on education Naledi Pandor says the African National Congress (ANC) has resolved that basic education must undergo comprehensive review in order to respond to radical social economic transformation.
The committee is reporting back following the party's national policy conference last week.
Pandor says they have resolved that ANC subcommittees at branch level should work on improving the quality of education.
She says they've agreed that the country's basic education needs an overhaul.
Following the recent targeting of schools in the Limpopo area of Vuwani, Pandor says ANC branches must prioritise the safety of schools and infrastructure.
