JOHANNESBURG - Pick n Pay says it’s aware that a picture of a man, who was allegedly assaulted by the store’s security officers, is doing the rounds on social media.

The grocery chain says the man was not assaulted by their employees as its alleged.

And that security footage has been handed to police clearly showing no staff or security are involved in the altercation.

Pick n Pay says the man works for an external company merchandising products in their Ivory Park Store on the East Rand.

He was reportedly asked to leave the shop after he failed to comply with a security requirement and was escorted out by the store’s security team.

Police are yet to confirm the incident.
