3 suspected rhino poachers arrested in KZN

It’s understood the suspects were driving in the Mangwanani Area on Friday night when police stopped them and searched their vehicle.

JOHANNESBURG - Three suspected rhino poachers have been arrested as a part of an ongoing police intelligence dedicated to finding poaching perpetrators in KwaZulu-Natal.

It’s understood the suspects were driving in the Mangwanani Area on Friday night when police stopped them and searched their vehicle.

Police found various items used to kill and dehorn rhinos including a hunting rifle and an axe.

Spokesperson Katlego Mogale says, “The suspects will appear in court on Monday, 10 July 2017, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm.”
