CAPE TOWN - There have been no arrests yet in connection with apparent hits on family members from Delft and Gugulethu.

Last month, three relatives were shot dead in their home in Delft.

A fourth member of the same family was later shot dead in Gugulethu.

Gunmen killed a 60-year-old woman, her 20-year-old son and another relative in their Delft home on 10 June.

The assailants were looking for the woman's older son, but he was not home.

Police say the suspects then went to Gugulethu where they found the 37-year-old man. He too was fatally shot.

Police say progress is being made in the investigation, but there are no new developments to be shared at this stage.
