AU summit underway in Addis Ababa
Leaders are expected to discuss solutions to conflict, funding for the AU, youth development, trade and AU reforms, among other things.
PRETORIA - African leaders have gathered in Addis Ababa for the 29th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union.
However, President Jacob Zuma, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will not be attending the meeting.
Conflict in South Sudan, Somalia and Libya, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali has cast a heavy shadow over the summit.

The two-day summit is being held under the theme “Harnessing the Demographic Dividend through Investments in the Youth”.
