CAPE TOWN - Elderly and disabled people will be the first to benefit from a housing project in Blue Downs totalling more than R1.2 billion.

The Forest Village Housing Project, a mixed-use development set for completion in 2020, was launched on Wednesday.

At least 820 units will be built.

Provincial Human Settlements MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela says: “More importantly, we must prioritise older people and those living with disabilities. These people must be part of the city’s housing list.”
