JOHANNESBURG – The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has confirmed that James Aguma has been suspended as both Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
His suspension stands pending an investigation by the interim board into irregularities in procurement and expenditure at the public broadcaster.
The SABC says Aguma will not return to either of the positions or hold any other role until the investigation has been concluded.
The SABC's Kaizer Kganyago said, “The SABC would like to announce the suspension of the acting CEO Mr James Aguma. At this stage, we are unable to get into details.”
