JOHANNESBURG - A woman arrested in connection with a high-end car hijacking syndicate in Johannesburg has been granted R100,000 bail.

The woman was arrested along with her male accomplice in Lenasia over the weekend.

The 43-year-old man has, however, been remanded in custody.

Police recovered nine luxury vehicles worth R7 million along with illegal firearms and cash.

The police's Vish Naidoo said, “The case is now postponed to 1 June 2017 and investigations continue. We cannot rule out possible further arrests taking place.”
