Princess Diana’s former lover hospitalised
Former army officer James Hewitt, aged 59, had a five-year affair with the Princess of Wales.
LONDON - The former lover of Princess Diana is reportedly in hospital after suffering a heart attack and stroke.
Former army officer James Hewitt, aged 59, had a five-year affair with the Princess of Wales when she was married to Prince Charles.
James Hewitt has undergone emergency surgery and, according to reports, doctors have given him a slim chance of survival.
Friends say he fell ill a fortnight ago and was taken to hospital from the apartment he shares with his mother.
The reports come after he gave a rare interview denying standing rumours that he’s Prince Harry’s real father.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s, he had a five-year affair with Diana.
They were only forced to part when he was sent to fight in the Gulf War.
