Cape Town man bust for possession of zip gun, ammunition

CAPE TOWN - City of Cape Town Metro Police officers have arrested a 29-year-old man for the possession of a zip gun and ammunition in Strandfontein.

He was nabbed by K9 unit members on a field following a tip-off on Wednesday.

Metro Police Media Spokesperson Zelda Martin said: “Members of the Metro Police K9 Unit received information about a sale of drugs on an open field in the Strandfontein area. Officers responded and found a 29-year-old man on the field with a zip gun and a single round. He was arrested for possession of a prohibited firearm.”
