[BREAKING] Cabinet assassination plot suspect granted bail
The prosecution is seeking to oppose bail on the basis that Elvis Ramosebudi may commit further crimes even though this case is a Section 1 offence.
JOHANNESBURG – Alleged assassination plotter Elvis Ramosebudi has been granted bail of R3,000 in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court.
Ramosebudi appeared for a bail ruling on Monday morning.
He has been charged with incitement to commit murder.
Magistrate Vincent Ratshivumo has granted Ramosebudi bail on six conditions, saying he does not believe that he is a threat to society.
Ramosebudi has been ordered to remain in Gauteng and not change his residential address.
He’s been barred from making contact with any of the witnesses and must report to the Reitgat Police Station in Soshanguve every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Failure to comply with these conditions will result in his rearrest.
Ramosebudi will appear in Johannesburg magistrates court for trial on 6 July.
