JOHANNESBURG – Human Settlement Minister Lindiwe Sisulu says the government will override legislation that prevents families of late military veterans from being compensated, saying relatives will now be prioritised.

The minister addressed a military veteran’s dialogue at the Birchwood hotel in Boksburg this afternoon.

“All along the legislation that we have been following did not allow that. I can say to you now that we will override that legislation that does not allow.”
