Truman Prince: I was defending myself against DA councillor
DA's Joe Johnson reported Prince to the police earlier this week after Prince allegedly assaulted him.
CAPE TOWN - Controversial former Beaufort West mayor Truman Prince says he was merely defending himself during an incident involving a Democratic Alliance (DA) councillor.
DA activist Joe Johnson reported Prince to the police earlier this week after the African National Congress councillor allegedly assaulted him.
But Prince claims that is not what happened.
“He drives recklessly and tried to bump into my car. So, I’ve got a lot of cases against him.”
The DA's Jaco Londt says Prince should not complain to the media.
“We went to the police, opened a case and they are busy investigating these charges against him. If he feels so strongly that he has a case, go to the police, lay a complaint and let them investigate it.”
