Namibian drug mule caught with cocaine worth R2m denied bail

JOHANNESBURG - A Namibian drug mule arrested for the possession of cocaine worth R2 million has been denied bail in the Kempton Park Magistrate Court.
Lena de Waal, who is facing charges of contravening the Drugs Trafficking Act, was arrested on Sunday at OR International Airport.
The drugs had been flown in from Brazil.
The Hawks's Ndivhuwo Mulamu said: “The Hawks were following up on information regarding a suspected drug mule and a routine check was conducted at the check-in points where about 5kg of cocaine was retrieved.”
