A showdown is expected at Monday's meeting between supporters and detractors of President Zuma.
Disagreements among senior ANC leaders on Zuma’s decision on the Cabinet reshuffle will play themselves out.
Some of the president's supporters in the NWC have told Eyewitness News they will call out secretary-general Gwede Mantashe, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and treasurer-general Zweli Mkhize for publicly speaking out against him and will demand that action to be taken against them.
Meanwhile, those against the president say they will simply demand answers about why he fired successful ministers like Pravin Gordhan while leaving underperforming ones untouched.
