21 people killed on Western Cape roads this weekend

A man has been charged with culpable homicide and drunk driving following a head-on collision outside Riebeek Kasteel.

CAPE TOWN – Twenty-one people, including two traffic officers, have been killed on the Western Cape’s roads over the past weekend.

A man has been charged with culpable homicide and drunk driving following a head-on collision outside Riebeek Kasteel in which a female on-duty officer died.

Another official was killed in a collision on the N1 between Rawsonville and Worcester on Sunday.

Five pedestrians are among those killed in other incidents on the roads.
