JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) says it wants to strengthen its communication capacity as it’s currently not effectively sending the right message about it does.

ANC chief whip Jackson Mthembu is addressing the media as part of its regular discussions on it policy documents.

Mthembu says the main objective of the document is to effectively reposition the ANC by being more proactive in a contested communications environment.

“The second objective is the strengthening of the communication capacity of the executive arm of the state. We think we’re found very wanting, in terms of how we communicate as the executive arm of the state.”
