JOHANNESBURG - Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng says the judiciary is concerned that Correctional Services facilities are overcrowded, adding that government is struggling to clothe and feed prisoners.

Mogoeng held a media briefing on Friday at his Midrand offices on the judiciary’s annual performance.

He says the judiciary is still very strong.

But says judges have noted concerns such as overcrowding in prisons.

“People are just too many for Correctional Services to rehabilitate them and to offer them the training to transfer skills to them.”
