Mentor: Malusi appointment will hand Guptas control of Treasury
Former ANC MP Vytjie Mentor claims outgoing Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan was fired because he would not sign off on a nuclear deal with Russia.
CAPE TOWN - Former ANC Member of Parliament Vytjie Mentor claims the appointment of Malusi Gigaba to the finance ministry will give the Gupta family complete control of National Treasury.
Mentor has echoed the EFF's claims that Gigaba is not qualified for the position and says he was only given the role due to his links to the infamous family.
Mentor goes onto to claim outgoing Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan was fired because he would not sign off on a nuclear deal with Russia.
“Malusi Gigaba wears the suits that are donated by the Guptas. He is the one who took the SAA after I refused to hand over the SAA route of India to the Gupta jet line and associates. He has been put there to sign a nuclear deal that Pravin refused to sign."
