KZN clinic shooting leaves woman critically wounded

Police are investigating as it remains unclear what the cause of the shooting incident at the Taylors Halt clinic was.

JOHANNESBURG – A 38-year-old woman has been left seriously injured, after a shooting at a clinic in Taylors Halt in KwaZulu-Natal.

ER24 paramedics say upon arrival on the scene on Sunday morning, they found the woman being treated by clinic staff and immediately provided advanced life support interventions.

The emergency service’s Russel Meiring says assessments showed that the woman had sustained a gunshot wound to her chest and was in a critical condition.

“The paramedics immediately treated the woman and provided her with advanced life support interventions. Once treated she was transported to Medi-Clinic Pietermaritzburg. The cause of this incident is not yet known; authorities are investigating.”
