Cosas demands Mashaba's resignation
Cosas has accused Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba of failing to ensure security at schools in the city.
JOHANNESBURG – Members of the Congress of South African Students (Cosas) have handed over a memorandum to Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba's office demanding his resignation.
Cosas has accused Mashaba of failing to ensure security at schools in the city.
The organisation also wants members of the JMPD to be visible around schools.
Cosas provincial chairperson Thabang Mahlomola says they'll march again if their demands are not met.
“We are disappointed that he is not here to accept the memorandum, these issues are sensitive and need his attention.”
