ANCYL has ‘big plans’ for Dlamini-Zuma, says Maine
The former AU chair arrived back into the country on Wednesday afternoon, after concluding her handover in Addis Ababa.
OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) President Collen Maine says the organisation has 'big plans' for Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma but will only reveal them after the party's policy conference in June.
The former AU chair arrived back into the country on Wednesday afternoon, after concluding her handover in Addis Ababa on Tuesday.
Dlamini-Zuma thanked the hundreds of fans who had been waiting for her at the airport for most of the morning.
Maine says now that Dlamini-Zuma is back home… her political wisdom cannot go to waste.
“The ANCYL has got big plans for you.”
The ANC Women's Leagues Meokga Matuba said: “We’re not campaigning, we’re waiting for the right time. Off course, you know our decision as the ANCWL and therefore we’re saying to you mama, welcome home.”
Dlamini-Zuma says she will be sharing her experiences at the AU during visits once she has a programme of action.
But for Wednesday, the former AU chair will be at the New Partnership for Africa's Development offices in Midrand for another welcome home event.
