JOHANNESBURG - Fees Must Fal l activist Bonginkosi Khanyile says after spending five months in prison the call for free education has been revived.

Khanyile was released on bail of R250 on Wednesday after appearing at the Constitutional Court.

He was accused of damaging property and inciting violence at the Durban University of Technology during fees must fall demonstrations.

Khanyile wrote his exams in prison and obtained four distinctions.

The student activist believes his arrest was politically motivated.

“I feel a very revolutionary spirit my brother, I cannot lie. The commitment to the call for free education has been revived until it’s achieved.”
