MTN's Nigeria office vandalised in anti-xenophobia protest

It is understood that the building was damaged and office equipment stolen during a protest against recent violence against foreigners in South Africa.

JOHANNESBURG - Eyewitness News has learnt that anti-xenophobia protesters have vandalised MTN's offices in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.

It is understood that the building was damaged and office equipment was stolen.

A group of people were protesting against recent violence against foreigners in South Africa when the demonstration turned violent.

MTN's spokesperson says the company is preparing a statement about the incident.
