CAPE TOWN – Fire crews are monitoring a blaze on the mountain slopes above Hout Bay.
The fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon.
There is no immediate threat to property.
City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Service member Theo Layne says, “The city’s Fire and Rescue service assisted by Table Mountain National Parks remained on the scene for most of the night, mostly monitoring. The fire is still inaccessible. The helicopters have been inspecting this morning, to start water bombing the areas that are inaccessible.”
